Bobbi Kristina Brown was not as wealthy as everyone thought.

Whitney Houston's daughter was set to inherit upwards of $20 million when the singing superstar passed, but the payout was to come in waves.

TMZ is reporting that Bobbi Kristina got 1/10 of her mother's estate when she turned 21. When she turned 25, she was set to get 1/6 of the balance. Bobbi Kristina never cashed in on that, however, because she passed away at the age of 22 on July 26.

Whitney's will, which was written prior to 2007, provides that if Bobbi Kristina died before reaching 25, all of Whitney's money would go to her mother, Cissy, and brothers Michael and Gary. In other words, although Whitney died in 2012, she is still today controlling who gets access to her money.

Bobby Brown is actually listed in the will, too, but only because the documentation was filled out before he and the "I Will Always Love You" singer divorced in 2007. The will, the website said, identified Bobby as "my husband, Robert B. Brown." Since he was no longer Whitney's husband at the time of her death, Bobby will not get any of Whitney's money.

On Monday, the day after his daughter, whom he calls "Krissy," passed, Bobby broke his silence.

"Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time," he said in a statement released by his lawyer. "My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable."

He adds, "We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl."

It was reported on Monday that Bobbi Kristina will be given a funeral service this week in Atlanta, Ga., after which her body will be flown to New Jersey where she will be buried alongside her late mother.

Bobby, a source told People magazine, is "holding it together more than you'd expect."

"He knew it was coming. Of course he's very emotional, but at the same time, he knows that Krissy is in a better place now," the source says. "He is taking comfort in the fact that she's with her mother and that there will be no more sadness or pain. She is at peace. He knows that and is taking comfort in that."
