Yesterday I got to go back to school! I was invited to hang out with the kids of St. Angela's Primary School for their Reading Week. The theme was Dr. Seuss and I chose to read "Oh the Places You'll Go."

My mom was a reading teacher during my formative years and I witnessed firsthand, kids on the cusp of 11 plus exams not being able to read at a level expected of the Infant Grades. When children master the art of reading it improves other areas that contribute to their overall well-being; like self-confidence, interpersonal skills, the art of imagination and educational freedom. I have a new respect for Reading teachers who ensure no child is left behind.

Reading opens up a whole new world to you!

As Dr. Seuss says "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”"
