According to a caption on the Vogue Instagram page, Bajan Sheena Rose will be featured this week. The posts give a snippet of about Sheena Rose herself and how she creates her art: 

"Sheena Rose’s (@sheenaroseartist) work can get pretty personal – and she is not shy about it. “I am a black Caribbean woman from Barbados, and I strongly identify with that,” says the artist, who lives in the easternmost end of the island, St Philip. “Do not look for me to make it easier for you. Whitney Houston Earns First Hot 100 Debut in 10 Years With Kygo Collab 'Higher Love'

The remake of Steve Winwood's 1986 No. 1 is Houston's first posthumous entrance.
Whitney Houston charts her first posthumous debut on the Billboard Hot 100, as "Higher Love" with Kygo enters at No. 63.

The song (billed as by Kygo X Whitney Houston and released on RCA Records) reworks Steve Winwood's anthem, which topped the Hot 100 dated Aug. 30, 1986. The Whitney Houston estate offered Kygo the archival recording of her original cover, which was previously released as a Japan-only bonus track on the physical version of her 1990 album I'm Your Baby Tonight.

While performing his classic "Superstition" in front of a sold-out London audience this weekend, Stevie Wonder announced he would be taking a break to attend to a medical need.

"I'm going to be doing three shows then taking a break," he said. "I'm having surgery. I'm going to have a kidney transplant at the end of September this year."

Chris Brown came under fire for a lyrics he sang on his latest album, INDIGO. The words in question can be heard on the song "Need A Stack," where he sings about how he "Only wanna f**k the black b**ches with the nice hair."

After an understandable and expected wave of criticism came his way due, Brown wrote that detractors are “tripping trippin" over the rude lyrics.

Dave Bartholomew, a New Orleans music pioneer best known for his songs with R&B legend Fat Domino, has died. He was 100.

Bartholomew, who co-wrote and produced such hits as “Ain’t That a Shame,” ″I’m Walkin’” and “Let the Four Winds Blow,” died Sunday in a New Orleans hospital, his eldest son Dave Bartholomew Jr. told the Associated Press.

Rihanna is using her platform the right way. Rih recently took to social media on Tuesday (June 11) to bring awareness to the crisis happening in Sudan at the moment.

For those of you who are uninformed, the former president of Sudan was removed from his position of power. Since then, the country's people have been calling for a democratic government. Unfortunately, their call to action has not been met with positive feedback. According to reports, the Sudanese military has reacted viciously, reportedly killing, injuring, and raping peaceful protesters.
