50 Cent Rips Irv Gotti For Admitting He Tried To Block His Career Before Signing With Dr. Dre

Posted by Ashley Wiltshire Monday, September 14, 2020 8:41:00 AM

50 Cent is ripping Irv Gotti for admitting in a new interview that he tried to blocked Fif’s career before Dr. Dre picked him up.

50 Cent has more than his fair share of enemies, and he stays ready with a clapback whenever one of them wants to rehash old beefs. This time it was Murder Inc. co-founder Irv Gotti who stirred up new trouble over the past when he did an interview with Hot 107.9’s B High and told a behind-the-scenes story that quickly had hip hop fans abuzz. Claiming that he was responsible for holding Fifty back from success for a long time before he was finally signed by Dr. Dre, Gotti admitted, “I blocked the n***a until he fell into Em and Dre’s lap. Labels would call me and I was so hot,

I was just the hottest thing, I’d be like, ‘Yo, if you f*ck with him, I ain’t f*ckin’ with you’. And they’d be like, ‘We ain’t f*ckin’ with him then Gotti, forget it.’”

My name is Lesley Seale and I am a visual artist and also a member of the Multifarious Dance Crew.

What's new with Lesley Seale?

Well, let's start from early this year when I began to work at an establishment where I knew I didn't want to stay because it was a means to an end, a place holder until I could work at the NIFCA Art Exhibition once again. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic arose and quickly halted my plans for the year. Due to some serious complications with the job I made the decision to leave that job and push myself as a creative.

Shaquille GFG Talks ‘Own Ting’ & Releasing Music During COVID-19

Posted by Azania Tuesday, September 8, 2020 9:00:00 AM Categories: Shaquille GFG

What’s the story about ‘Own Ting’?
In terms of the minor details it was written by myself (Shaquille), produced by Jus D and mixed and mastered by Jus D. It’s actually on a riddim called the Inside Out Riddim and there are about 3-4 other songs on the riddim as a well.

The concept behind the song ‘Own Ting’ is really and truly…it speaks to women and uplifting women…letting them know that their own ting. They don’t need to depend on men for anything but it’s kind of like a twist on it…like if the man not treating you right stuff like that. It’s basically going down that line but when you look at the lyrics you would kind of get the gist or idea….

Jermaine Dupri Says Fans Should Demand Better Lyrics From Cardi B Than “WAP”

Posted by Ashley Wiltshire Friday, September 4, 2020 10:05:00 AM

Jermaine Dupri thinks hip hop fans should demand better lyrics from female rappers and singled out Cardi B.

Jermaine Dupri believes that the charts reflect what the public wants to hear. Recently, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion shattered all types of record as their joint single, “WAP,” rocketed to no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The explicit lyrics in the song caused a polarising effect, with some claiming that it preached female empowerment, while others felt that it was simply crude to gain attention. Either way, the fans enjoyed listening as it earned the largest number of first-week streams for a song in Billboard history, and the music video broke the record for the most views within 24 hours for a female collaboration.

Aaliyah’s Estate Moving To Bring Her Music To Streaming Services

Posted by Ashley Wiltshire Wednesday, August 26, 2020 10:23:00 AM

Aaliyah’s music might be finally coming to major streaming services.

Since her untimely death almost two decades ago, Aaliyah continues to impact fans globally with her music and now her estate confirms that they’re in talks to bring her catalogue to all major streaming platforms. The Princess of R&B passed away during a time when streaming music was unheard of. The tragic plane crash, in which she and eight others lost their lives, occurred in 2001 when “Tidal” described a wave, “Spotify” may have been acne treatment, and “Apple” was known for making smartphones and computers. But times have changed, and fans of the late singer have long been hoping that her music collection changes with it and adapts.

While song catalogues from artists who were popular decades ago have been added to streaming platforms to make listening more accessible for the fans, the majority of Aaliyah’s tracks cannot be found. Much of this had to do with the “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number” singer’s uncle and manager, Barry Hankerson, whose Blackground Records owns the rights to Aaliyah’s entire catalogue with the exception her famous debut which R. Kelly produced. It seemed that Hankerson had had a change of heart back in November as he announced on social media that the Grammy nominee’s songs would be hitting Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music, and Amazon Prime after listening to fans’ pleas. But sadly, no follow-up announcer was ever made until now.

Keke Palmer Reacts To Trey Songz Scandal

Posted by Ashley Wiltshire Thursday, August 20, 2020 8:07:00 AM

Keke Palmer is trending amid the recent Trey Songz sexual misconduct allegations after an old video of her accusing him of sexual intimidation resurfaces.

Three years ago, when Keke Palmer opened up about being taken advantage of and sexually intimidated by Trey Songz, most fans were not quick to believe her. Though the actress/singer stuck to her story all these years, many people were still not convinced until the accused got caught up in a much larger scandal.

Following Celina Powell and her friend calling out Trey Songz for basically kidnapping them and subjecting them to non-consensual sexual acts, suddenly, people actually believe that the singer did engage in foul behavior. Interestingly enough, when Keke Palmer, a black woman, made mention of her own experience with him in 2017, she was met with backlash and gaslighting.
