Box Office: 'Aquaman' Swims Past $200M Domestic And $800M Worldwide 

Aquaman swam past the $200 million mark at the domestic box office yesterday. The DC Films flick earned $16.7m on Tuesday (+66% from Monday and -24% from last Tuesday) to bring its 12-day domestic cume to $216.285m. That's a big jump which puts it just over (sans inflation and deep breath) Superman Returns ($200m in 2006), Amazing Spider-Man 2 ($202m in 2014), Batman Begins ($206m in 2005), Thor: The Dark World ($206m in 2013, Sherlock Holmes ($209m in 2009), Venom ($213m), Solo: A Star Wars Story ($213m) and Ant-Man and the Wasp ($216m). It'll pass Mission: Impossible – Fallout ($220m) today and is now officially WB's biggest domestic (> A Star Is Born) and worldwide (> Ready Player One) release of 2018.

Jordan Peele Says His New Horror Film, ‘Us,’ Is ‘Not About Race’ 

Director Jordan Peele released the trailer for his new film, Us, the follow-up to his Academy Award-winning thriller, Get Out, on Christmas Day. The horror film stars Black Panther cast mates and Yale classmates Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke as a husband and wife taking their family on a summer trip to their beach house when things go awry.

During a special screening of the trailer at the Bryant Park Hotel, Peele spoke briefly about what audiences can expect from Us.
