Rihanna, Lizzo, Justin Bieber, and more than 750 other musical artists, industry executives, and groups have signed an open letter to Congress endorsing Democrats’  Justice in Policing Act that is scheduled for a House vote this week.

Joining the heavy-hitters were other A-listers such as Post Malone, Meek Mill, the Jonas Brothers, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Mariah Carey.

Justin Bieber Denies Sexual Assault Allegations & Plans to Take Legal Action 

Justin Bieber has refuted allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman going by the name of "Danielle" in 2014.

The woman, who tweeted from an anonymous account Saturday night (June 20) that was removed from Twitter shortly after Bieber publicly commented on the situation, claimed the incident took place at a hotel in Austin, Texas, on March 9, 2014.

"I don’t normally address things as I have dealt with random accusations my entire career but after talking with my wife and team I have decided to speak up on an issue tonight," Bieber wrote on his own Twitter account Sunday night (June 21).

Cream of Wheat just became the latest major food brand to announce a review of its controversial mascot following the global uproar over the George Floyd tragedy, which has compelled corporations to reflect on their roles in perpetuating racism.

Aunt Jemima was the first food brand Wednesday to announce it is changing its logo, which for decades has been widely criticized as a racist caricature of a black maid stemming from slavery. Hours later, Uncle Ben's and Mrs. Butterworth's followed suit.

Famed Jamaican choreographer Dr. L’Antoinette Stines is suing Jay-Z and Beyonce for he “Black Effect,” claiming she felt “artistically raped.”

The 2018 joint album EVERYTHING IS LOVE done by The Carters, a combination of Jay-Z and Beyonce, had a few stand out tracks with one of them being “Black Effect.” Now almost two years after the release of the project, the Jamaican artiste whose inspiring vocals appeared at the beginning of the song is mentioning that she was never given the right credit or compensation for the work done.

The leading voice is none other than that of Dr. L’Antoinette Osunide Stines.

Netflix Launches ‘Black Lives Matter’ Collection of Movies, TV Shows and Documentaries 

Netflix is promoting a new “Black Lives Matter” collection to U.S. subscribers, featuring over 45 titles about racial injustice and the experience of Black Americans.

Movies, TV shows and documentaries in the Black Lives Matter collection include Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods” (releasing Friday, June 12); Ava DuVernay’s “13th” and “When They See Us”; “Mudbound”; “Orange Is the New Black”; “Dear White People”; and Barry Jenkins’ Oscar-winning “Moonlight.”

Netflix began displaying a popup screen (pictured above) featuring the Black Lives Matter collection Wednesday when users first logged in to the service on the web or connected-TV devices. The streamer also added the collection to users’ notifications.

Bonnie Pointer of the Pointer Sisters Dies at 69 

Bonnie Pointer, who rose to fame as a member of the Pointer Sisters, has died at age 69. A representative said the cause of death was cardiac arrest.

“It is with great sadness that I have to announce to the fans of the Pointer Sisters that my sister Bonnie died this morning,” said Anita Pointer of her sister, Patricia, aka Bonnie. “Our family is devastated. On behalf of my siblings and I and the entire Pointer family, we ask for your prayers at this time.”

Bonnie was one of the founding members of the group and left in the mid-1970s to pursue a solo career.

In a rare political statement, Janet Jackson posted a powerful message in support of Black Lives Matter on Sunday (June 7), encouraging Americans to come together to erase the boundaries that keep us apart. "We are a nation with no geographic boundaries, bound together through our beliefs," Jackson wrote. "We are like-minded individuals, sharing a common vision, pushing toward a world rid of color lines."

The tweet also contains a list of black men and women who've been victims of police violence, along with the #blacklivesmatter tag and Jackson reading her statement in a robotic voice as a bell rings out and the screen fades to the read BLM, with images of Jackson in her Rhythm Nation outfit in the background.
